Antigone Chapman is a cell and molecular biology major from Brooklyn, New York. She aims to attend medical school after graduating from John Jay College. When she's not sacrificing sleep to meet last-minute deadlines or staying up late to play her favorite RPG, she is heavily involved in STEM activities. But despite this, she has always enjoyed expressing her thoughts and ideas through writing. As the child of immigrants, she has been very aware of the harsh realities faced by many Americans in the lower economic bracket, especially those of color, for as long as she can remember. This awareness has motivated her to overcome the challenges of poverty in pursuit of her degree, despite the obstacles presented by the flawed system. Throughout her journey, she strives to share her story and experiences through her writing. Every step at a time.
